Our friend Justin is going to miss Thanksgiving again this year, so he and his wife, Lena, decided to have a Thanksgiving in July celebration before he heads off to Iraq and Afghanistan. This crew does not need an excuse to get together to drink beers and fill our bellies. And we had all the Thanksgiving staples: fried turkey, gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry, a million other things and all the desserts you could eat. I definitely took a nap when I got home.
We were able to fry the turkey even though it was raining outside. You can't see it in this shot, but we had the fire extinguisher close by, just in case.
