Grace's Nursery

We have been working on the nursery for the past couple weeks now, trying to get everything ready for Grace's arrival. Of course, I have grand plans of what I want the nursery to look like and Tom has been so great going along with any and all of my crazy suggestions. He's been so busy with work lately (and it's only going to get worse) that we've tried to do things a little at a time so it wasn't so overwhelming.

Tom putting up the wainscotting. I saw some pictures of a nursery done this way rather than with the pre-made stuff that you can buy from the store and thought this looked a lot nicer.

Tom spent a lot of time using his miter saw and getting the cuts perfect. He is quite the handyman!

All the wainscotting is done and ready for primer and paint.

The dogs wanted to be right in the middle of everything the whole time we were working. Every time we go upstairs now they run in to check out Grace's room.

While Tom was away I got to priming and painting the wainscotting.

We decided to paint 3 of the walls tan and 1 wall pink so it isn't too girly and is easy to change if we want to.

The (almost) finished product!! As soon as we were done with the room I couldn't wait to get her crib put together with the bedding to see what it would look like. I am so happy with how everything turned out. The only thing we have left to paint is a tree on the wall behind her crib. Still coming up with the design, so it may be a little while:)
