Trip to Beaufort

One of our good friends, Ethan, got married last weekend in Beaufort, SC and Tom was asked to be in his sword arch. Both their ceremony and reception were outside, sot it was great that Ethan and Katie lucked out and had beautiful weather all weekend. It was also nice for Tom and I to get out of town for a couple days.

The ceremony was at the Old Sheldon Church ruins in Beaufort. The church was burned down by the British in 1779, then rebuilt in 1826, and then burned down by the Federal Army in 1865. As you can see, only the walls of the church remain. A very unique place for a wedding, but very beautiful and natural.

Katie, Ethan and the sworch arch. Tom is standing to Katie's left.

I just love the dress blues:)

Me after the wedding and back at the hotel. No, we didn't get any pictures of the reception because I forgot to bring my camera in with us. I'm trying to get better about it!
