Scary Weekend

My sister and her husband had a really bad scare this weekend. Their new puppy, Tucker, a 6 month old male Boxer, was stolen out of their fenced-in backyard. Someone actually jumped the fence and stole him on Saturday night around 11pm! Brian, a friend and my dad spent hours searching Pace trying to find him on Saturday night. Yesterday, everyone drove around town putting posters up at intersections, businesses and in neighborhoods.

They were able to file a police report and after talking with their neighbors, had it narrowed down to a couple suspects. Too much detail to go into here, but one of their neighbors had a party on Friday night and one of the guests brought her uninvited boyfriend. The police questioned her on Sunday morning about her boyfriend and a missing dog. Tucker was returned to the backyard at 2am Monday morning.
We are just so thankful that our prayers were answered and he was returned without a scratch on him. Needless to say, he is getting a microchip this week and getting a new collar and ID tags! I'm also going to get Bella a microchip this week. When we first moved to Jacksonville and lived on base, PMO required us to get CuChulainn a microchip, so he already has one. They are not that expensive to get and will give you some extra security should your dog ever get stolen or run away. I'm so glad that this story had a happy ending:)
